Virtual Exhibition
Art for Education: Empowering Femme Futures
Merging artistic expression with social impact, this exhibition showcases diverse perspectives and creative voices of 19 African artists across generations. Featuring paintings, drawings, photographs, mixed media, and sculptures, this collaboration between The Real Impact and Forme Femine celebrates art's role in fostering education and empowering young minds, particularly girls in Nigeria.
CONVERGENCE
CONVERGENCE features a collection of new paintings by Titilola Fagbemi - merging self expression and artistic experimentation with the dynamics of intergenerational relationships. Fagbemi seeks to re-member and reunite the mother-daughter body, unraveling the intricate threads that weave this salient relationship; highlighting the essence of matrilineal bonds in a bid to unearth a chain of intergenerational support systems that have long nurtured and propelled women forward.
Collect Call - Diaspora Dial
Collect Call // Diaspora Dial is a virtual exhibition designed by Forme Femine to confront the limitations on how African femininity is portrayed by African artists.
ENSEMBLE: Art, Activism and Gender
Forme Femine Art Gallery is pleased to invite you to our virtual exhibit ‘ENSEMBLE: Art, Activism and Gender’, showing two of our passionate women artists.
Forms of Re.Placement
'Forms of Re.Placement' emerges as an ode to the shared histories and personal visions of the three artists: Eyitayo Alagbe, Omoyeni Arogunmati, and Paul Ayihawu, dissecting depths of identity, spirituality, and societal constructs while paving the way for a renewed understanding of one’s essence. This exhibition challenges viewers to reconsider their place within the world and confront the legacies that continue to shape our perceptions.
INTERCONNECTED
Group exhibition featuring 18 women artists from across Africa and the Middle East; exploring connections and cross-cultural ties formed by art.
In the Spaces, We Exist
The exhibition presents a dialogue between Adebayo and Fagbemi, who explore the concept of carving out space for individual and collective existence through a new series of paintings. Both artists dissect themes of communal relations and empowered self across physical, social, and narrative parameters as women navigating a complex world.
Sisters of the Soil
Forme Femine is pleased to present "Sisters of the Soil”. This show brings together two Nigerian artists, Ogochukwu Ejiofor and Victoria Oniosun; exploring the complexities and triumphs of the female experience through distinctive oil and mixed media paintings. Both artists centre their works on the multifaceted narrative of womanhood - and a sisterhood defined by shared experiences, vulnerabilities and cultural ideals.
The Fragility of Humanity
Forme Femine presents 'The Fragility of Humanity' by Nigerian artist Janet Adebayo. Adebayo's paintings explore human existence, delving into familial bonds, personal evolution, and life's ephemerality. Her 'mosaic skin' technique portrays vulnerability, embracing darkness and light.
